Conflict is a universal human experience and you can learn to handle it better.

Amity CMR was created in 2018 to help individuals and organisations resolve conflict through training, coaching and facilitation.  We are based in Hobart, Tasmania and have served clients locally, across Tasmania and interstate.

Amity CMR’s director Ruth Pinkerton has been actively involved in conflict management and resolution for seven years. She has a received broad range of training in the area, culminating in a Masters degree in Conflict Management and Resolution from James Cook University.  She is a trained conflict coach and mediator as well as having expertise in many other areas of conflict intervention such as conflict analysis, cross cultural conflict and negotiation.

Ruth says:

I have observed that many people around me feel paralysed by conflict and need some help to work out what to do in conflict situations. I decided to get some training and apply it to helping others in this area. My qualifications, along with life skills gained as a high school teacher, CEO of a Christian not-for-profit, and board member of several organisations, gives me a broad understanding of people and conflict, which many have found helpful.

Using my skills I have been able to help a wide range of clients to solve or manage the conflicts they were involved in. Importantly the vast majority of them feel better about their conflict situations when they get help. They also feel more confident about dealing with future conflicts.
